Coming to iPhone.

We’re preparing Nomivo for its first public App Store release. The download link will appear on this website when the app is available. We are not taking payments or collecting a waitlist here.

The guides below describe the current app being tested ahead of launch. Features and availability may change before release.

A better starting point for your scan.

  1. Open Scan and allow camera access. If the view is blank, check Settings → Apps → Nomivo → Camera on your iPhone.
  2. Keep the entire plate visible in good light. Avoid heavy shadows, motion and covering one food with another.
  3. Review the detected foods and their portions. AI cannot see hidden ingredients or measure a portion from a photo.
  4. Confirm the meal to save it. For a correction later, open the meal from Today or Diary.

For packaged food, switch to Barcode. Product information comes from Open Food Facts, a community database. If a product is missing or incomplete, use manual entry and check its label.

AI food and menu scans need an internet connection and a signed-in account. If a request fails, check your connection and try again. Your existing diary remains available offline.

Check-ins on your terms.

In Me → Reminders, choose a meal check-in time and turn water check-ins on or off. Water check-ins can run once or three times a day. Save your schedule after changing it.

Allow notifications in iPhone Settings. Focus modes and system notification settings may silence or delay them. Opening Nomivo renews its upcoming reminder schedule; reminders are not a medical alert service.

Your water goal can be changed in your daily targets. Logged water, rather than a sensor measurement, is what counts toward that goal.

Your account and Apple Health.

Sign in with Apple to enable account sync. Check the account section in Me for reported sync issues. Keep the app open on a working connection when checking for updates. Signing in alone is not confirmation of a complete backup.

Apple Health is optional. You choose the categories Nomivo can read or write, and can change access in the Health app. Denied read access may look like missing data; iOS does not reveal every permission state to apps.

Meal photos are stored locally and are not included in account sync. Photos submitted for AI recognition are sent to our recognition provider. Read the data overview.

About Nomivo Plus.

Public subscriptions are not available yet. When purchasing is available, the app and Apple’s confirmation sheet will show the current price, billing period and any eligible offer before you choose to pay.

If you are testing a build and plans do not appear, use Refresh status in Nomivo Plus on a working connection. Restore purchases checks purchases made with the Apple account on your device; it does not create a new subscription.

Existing Apple subscriptions are managed in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple explains how to cancel a subscription. Refund requests are handled through Apple’s Report a Problem service.

Keeping and removing your records.

Export your food log as CSV from Me → Privacy and storage. Export lets you keep a separate copy of your food entries; it is not a complete account backup.

Removing meal logs is different from deleting an account. Account deletion is being completed before public launch. Uninstalling Nomivo does not delete server account records or cancel an Apple subscription.

Help from a human.

Public support will open with the App Store release. For now, this guide covers the current preview. If you are an invited tester, use the contact channel included with your invitation.
